Thomas Day Mesmerizes In “Paper Cup”

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Thomas Day’s paper cup is half empty.

Thomas Day is an emerging pop artist signed to Arista Records who is making a significant impact. He launched his career with compelling TikTok covers and has since established himself with stunning tracks characterized by powerful vocals and heartfelt songwriting.

If you’re looking to become a fan of Thomas Day, I highly recommend checking out his project from last year, Angel Boy. It features popular tracks like “not my job anymore,” “VICIOUS,” and “Pretender.” Recently, Thomas released a new single called “Paper Cup.” I like it a lot.

In “Paper Cup,” Thomas Day reflects on the trials and tribulations of falling in love at a young age. He touches on the highs and lows, ultimately acknowledging that one of the worst feelings is dwelling on what once was. The track is powered by a piano-driven instrumental that, while gentle, carries a strong knock. Thomas delivers a stunning vocal performance that captures his emotions perfectly. I especially love how he starts the track off calm, builds into an intense sound, and then softens again. All in all, “Paper Cup” is a fantastic track to listen to.
