Ye reportedly sets the U.S. stadium rap attendance record for the third time this year.
Ye has raised the bar again. AT&T Stadium declared his November 7 concert the most-attended rap show in U.S. history, marking another record-setting stop on his stadium run. The Dallas-area performance took place in Arlington, Texas.
Promoter IKON Presents reported 83,000 tickets sold, according to figures shared with The Breakfast Club’s Loren Lorosa. That number represents reported ticket sales rather than a separately verified count of people admitted into the stadium.
The latest milestone follows his Halloween performance at Houston’s Reliant Stadium, which the venue also billed as a U.S. stadium rap attendance record. That concert followed his earlier benchmark at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, making Dallas his reported third record-setting performance in the category this year.
His next announced U.S. performance is November 21 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. My guess? He’ll break another record there, too.
Whatever you think of Ye as a human, you can’t ignore the demand for his live shows. Breaking a record is impressive. Coming back and breaking your own record repeatedly? At that point, you’re competing with yourself.
Ye has broken his own record for the highest-attended stadium rap concert in the U.S. tonight in Dallas ???
