The Kid LAROI Calls On Gunna For “BABY I’M BACK (Remix)”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Gunna fits this track like a glove (No OJ).

One of the standout projects of the year that flew under the radar is The Kid LAROI’s THE FIRST TIME (DELUXE VERSION). This collection showcases a range of styles, with the artist exploring everything from classic R&B to contemporary pop and beyond. Unfortunately, in the current chaotic music landscape, it hasn’t received the recognition it truly deserves. Nevertheless, one of the highlights from the project is “BABY I’M BACK.” Today, a remix featuring Gunna has been released on streaming platforms, adding a fresh twist to the already impressive track.

In the remix to “Baby I’m Back,” Gunna raps like some of the rent is overdue, bringing an urgent, emotional energy to the track. With its soulful, vintage-tinged production, Gunna taps into his melodic rap style, reflecting on the challenges he’s faced, the resilience he’s shown, and the genuine relationships that have stood the test of time. Given the heavy accusations of street code violations he’s been involved in, it’s refreshing to hear him sound liberated and happy, delivering a performance that feels like a personal victory.
