Honorable Mention. Part Of The Plan
Hunxho is in the perfect place to talk his s**t.
In “Part Of The Plan,” Hunxho reflects on his success this year, mentioning his feature on the XXL Freshman list, the financial growth he’s achieved, and the high-profile bookings he now has the luxury of turning down. The Atlanta native makes it clear that this is just the beginning, promising fans he’s not planning to slow down anytime soon.
As a hip-hop enthusiast, the first thing that caught my attention about this track was the Mobb Deep-inspired beat that Hunxho flows over. What also stood out was Hunxho’s rap style—it’s assertive, dismissive, and more emotionally restrained than usual.
5. Worth It (Ft. Fridayy)
Fridayy and Hunxho probably did the Spiderman meme while recording this track.
Hunxho and Fridayy sound almost indistinguishable on “Worth It,” with only subtle differences setting them apart. I had to check Genius to confirm that Fridayy takes on the chorus while Hunxho handles the verses. In the chorus, Fridayy reflects on his guarded nature in relationships. Meanwhile, Hunxho’s verses focus on his dedication to his craft and his street-focused mentality. The intense, dramatic production underscores both artists’ perspectives.
4. New R.R. (Ft. Mariah The Scientist & Rylo Rodriguez)
I’ve never heard so much slurring on a love song.
Who said thugs can’t fall in love? In “New R.R.,” Hunxho talks about spoiling his girl, even vowing to buy her whatever she wants whenever he messes up. He also praises her intimate skills. Mariah The Scientist adds her perspective, playing the role of the woman embracing her man’s affection. Lastly, Rylo Rodriguez shares his own relationship experiences, reflecting on both the highs and lows. Altogether, this is a smooth yet impactful love song that people from all walks of life can relate to and appreciate.
3. In The Morning (Ft. Ty Dolla $ign)
This album needed more love songs like this.
On this album, the balance between love songs and tracks dedicated to “sliding” is surprisingly even. This feels unexpected, especially given Hunxho’s vocal style, which often leans into a melodic, extra-emotional sound. Among the standout love tracks is “In The Morning.” The song features an addictive chorus, smooth yet hard-hitting production, and a dynamic blend of Ty Dolla $ign’s vibrant vocals with Hunxho’s more distorted tone.
2. Amazing Grace
Of course, a track called “Amazing Grace” is amazing.
Honestly, a significant part of my appreciation for “Amazing Grace” comes from its flawless chorus. It has an incredibly intoxicating quality and conveys a lot of emotion. I also admire Hunxho’s humble raps, which are delivered with sincerity and align beautifully with the dramatic production. Overall, this track is exceptionally well-crafted.
1. Hold Me Down
Who the hell is eating flamin’ hot onion rings in the bando?
“Hold Me Down” is simply a beautiful track. The heartfelt production creates an emotional backdrop while Hunxho’s vulnerable vocals shine through. Additionally, the chorus stands out for its soothing quality, which I think will leave listeners in their feelings. The combination of everything I mentioned makes “Hold Me Down” hard to walk away from.

OVERALL RATING

I am officially a Hunxho fan.
Production: I found the production we received on this album compelling. Many instrumentals lean heavily into a dramatic feel, featuring chilling piano notes, touching violin segments, and an emotional, moody atmosphere overall. That said, there are a few beats that bring in a bit more punch and energy, adding some knock to the mix. Overall, the album presents a powerful, immersive sound.
Guest Appearances: I’m really impressed with the guest appearances on this album. The lineup combines a great mix of A-listers and emerging artists. What stands out most is the thoughtful choice of collaborators: Hunxho worked with artists who relate to his emotionally charged, street-inspired style—like Lil Durk, Wallo267, Polo G, and Rylo Rodriguez—while also bringing in voices who amplify the album’s romantic themes, including Keyshia Cole, Fridayy, Mariah The Scientist, and Ty Dolla $ign. It’s a perfect example of someone catering to both their gritty and sentimental sides.
The Performances: Hunxho brings a distinctive mix of Future’s raw, streetwise edge and Fridayy’s melodic, introspective style. What sets him apart is his vulnerability across themes, whether he’s talking about love, loyalty, or reflecting on his hard-earned success. Each track feels like he’s letting his heart bleed, giving listeners a transparent look at who he really is.
What Would I Change About This Album: Nothing. Hunxho remained true to himself in this project and achieved his goals. Ultimately, it comes down to whether or not listeners resonate with his unique sound.
The Biggest Reason You Should Listen To This Album: Hunxho is clearly on the verge of something big. It’s important to cherish this current version of him before the industry’s influence starts to shape his artistry.
