Samad Savage Is “REAL”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

We definitely need more songs that call out the fake ones and give a shoutout to the real ones.

Samad Savage is one of the few artists in the game bringing true positive, youthful energy to hip-hop. In his music, he’s tackled important topics like child abuse in America, addressing it with transparency and care. Beyond his music, he’s also taken action, donating money to Childhelp, an organization that supports victims of child abuse. Samad’s work isn’t just about making great music; it’s about making a meaningful impact. Recently, he dropped a new single called “REAL.”

In “REAL,” Samad Savage makes it crystal clear: there aren’t many walking this planet who are as real as he is. Throughout the track, he highlights all the ways he stands apart, from being fiscally responsible to a truth-teller who speaks straight from the heart. As someone who values authenticity, I co-sign his statements—he’s definitely speaking my language.

Though Samad Savage’s lyrics in this track will definitely grab your attention, I think it’s the song’s style that truly stands out. With a swagger that will make you think he’s Baby Keem’s long-lost cousin, Samad brings animated deliveries and punchy flows, effortlessly riding the bouncy, tech-savvy beat. What stands out most is the energy and fun he’s having on the mic—it’s impossible not to feel the excitement in every line.
