Kendrick’s accolades continue to rack up.
Do you guys realize how incredible of a year Kendrick Lamar has had? Let me break down some of his achievements: he’s been nominated for numerous Grammys, dropped a hugely successful album, secured a performance slot at the Super Bowl, is gearing up for a stadium tour, won Album of the Year by Complex, and now he’s added another major milestone to his list.
Kendrick Lamar has officially surpassed Eminem to become the rapper with the most monthly listeners on Spotify. Currently, Kendrick is at 75.98 million monthly listeners, while Eminem sits at 75.43 million. For context, Drake, who is also considered a rapper, has 73 million monthly listeners.

Sometimes, I think people don’t fully realize just how popular Eminem still is, even in 2024. His music resonates with everyone — young kids, adults, people of all races, cool kids, oddballs, you name it. His reach is insane. For Kendrick Lamar to match Eminem’s streaming numbers, even if just for a month, is a huge accomplishment. It could mean Kendrick has managed to break into some of these demographics that I always thought were exclusive to Eminem.
