Boosie Badazz feels there should be a lot more people freed.
Joe Biden’s final day in office has made waves as he announced granting clemency to over 2,500 non-violent drug offenders. While many will applaud this move, there’s always a side that won’t—and Boosie Badazz is part of that group.
The “Wipe Me Down” rapper took to Instagram to express his frustration, calling for those accused of nonviolent gun charges to receive the same treatment, even drawing a comparison between his own gun-related charge and Hunter Biden’s. In the end, Boosie admitted to waking up upset and needing to pray.
Boosie Badazz makes a valid point, though I wish he didn’t yell as much. Many, including some of your favorite rappers, are facing serious legal battles over gun charges. While I don’t want to ignore their mistakes, I do believe some of those laws are overly harsh, especially given the complicated, love-hate relationship we have with guns in this country.
