Countdown Charts Update: Olivia Rodrigo Leads, ZAYN Drops Friday & 1D Nostalgia Hits the Top 10

Spotify Countdown Charts

This week’s Spotify Countdown is in.

At #1, Olivia Rodrigo is sitting comfortably with you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, and honestly? Not surprising at all. The title alone has people talking, and the media rollout is already in full effect. Olivia knows how to turn anticipation into a full-blown cultural moment.

Now let’s talk about Friday.

Zayn Malik is officially in release week, with Konnakol landing at #3 before it even drops. That kind of pre-release positioning says everything. ZAYN has always moved a little quieter than his peers, but his fanbase is locked in. This feels like a very intentional return.

And then… yeah. The nostalgia hit.

Niall Horan sitting at #7 with Dinner Party? Two former One Direction members in the Top 10 at the same time? Yeah, I’m emotional. I’m not even gonna pretend otherwise. Niall’s sound has leaned more warm, easygoing, and live-instrument driven over the years, and this project already feels like it’s going to be a comfort album.

R&B is holding it down too, with Kehlani landing at #9. Her self-titled album dropping April 24 is one of the more anticipated projects in that space, and rightfully so. Kehlani has built a reputation for emotional honesty and consistency, and fans are expecting another deeply personal body of work.

Outside of the previously mentioned highlights, artists like Noah Kahan, Foo Fighters, and Conan Gray add even more variety to the chart — from folk storytelling to rock legends to alt-pop heartbreak.

This week’s Countdown Chart feels like a perfect mix of past, present, and future.

You’ve got Olivia leading the new-gen pop wave, ZAYN stepping back into the spotlight, and Niall bringing that familiar warmth. Add in Kehlani, Noah Kahan, and a few genre curveballs, and it’s clear — the next few months of music are going to be stacked.

And with ZAYN dropping this Friday?

Yeah… we’re about to be fed.
