DFG June was a real one for this.
I didn’t know much about DFG June previously, but I feel like I should have. “Sn00ze” makes the Louisiana artist seem like he’s been doing this music thing for decades.
June is smooth with his wordplay, and he had a few bars in “Sn00ze” that really took me by surprise. I know that this is a breakup song but dang, you can feel the hurt and anger in those lyrics. He sings about betrayal and pettiness and ultimately, having to leave someone in the past.
The beat for this song reminds me of early 2000’s R&B in the best way. The music gives a sensitive, softer vibe while still being bump-able. DFG June has a silky, yet emotional voice that is clear and easy to understand. The point of the song is clarified, and the lyrics aren’t difficult to hear or absorb.
