Drake Named Best-Selling Rapper Worldwide for 10th Consecutive Year by IFPI

A bad year for Drake is still literally better than everyone’s best year.

Drake continues his reign as the world’s best-selling rapper, securing the top hip-hop spot on IFPI’s Global Artist Chart for the tenth consecutive year. Despite not releasing a single project in 2024, the Toronto superstar still ranked No. 2 overall, proving the enduring power of his extensive catalog. Other hip-hop heavyweights on the list include Eminem (No. 8), Kendrick Lamar (No. 9), Travis Scott (No. 15), and Kanye West (No. 16).

What makes this achievement even more impressive is that Drake maintained his dominance without new material last year, relying entirely on streams and sales of his past releases. However, with his 2025 joint project $ome $exy $ongs 4 U alongside PARTYNEXTDOOR already making waves—and a potential solo album in the works—Drake is in prime position to claim the No. 1 spot next year.

Drake Is Best Selling Rapper Worldwide For 10th Year In A Row

Given his track record and unwavering global fanbase, it’s clear that Drake’s chart supremacy isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
