Wu-Tang Clan Makes Surprise Return with “Mandingo”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Wu-Tang Clan made it to 2025, y’all.

What would the history of hip-hop be without the iconic Wu-Tang Clan? Early in the genre’s evolution, the group played a key role in shaping hip-hop into what it is today, leaving an undeniable legacy that continues to influence artists worldwide. With over 20 members and affiliates, Wu-Tang Clan has created more opportunities for negroes than your average DEI program.

Though many believed the legendary crew had retired for good, Wu-Tang Clan made a triumphant return to the music scene with their latest track, “Mandingo.” The song’s production instantly catches the ear with a punchy, nostalgic beat that transports listeners straight back to the ’90s—think a weed-scented DeLorean cruising through the golden era of hip-hop.

On “Mandingo,” Raekwon, Inspectah Deck, Method Man, Cappadonna, and Mathematics bring their signature competitive, gritty, and witty bars over the hard-hitting beat. While their voices may not have the same fresh intensity as in their prime, their unique personalities and dynamic delivery are as compelling as ever. “Mandingo” serves as a thrilling appetizer for what could be an even bigger Wu-Tang project on the horizon.

Pharma Bro can’t stop this movement.
