Flo Milli and T-Pain Link Up for a Bold Flip of a Classic in “Gripper”

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

I’m in love with a gripper!

One of the greatest stories never fully told to Gen Z and Gen Alpha is just how dominant T-Pain was in his prime. Beyond dropping unforgettable solo hits, he blessed dozens of features with his signature sound and style. Songs like “Bartender” and “I’m In Love With A Stripper” still get heavy rotation today — testaments to his cultural impact.

On Friday, rising rap star Flo Milli dropped her new single “Gripper,” a bold and raunchy homage to T-Pain’s 2005 smash “I’m In Love With A Stripper.” The track arrives as Flo makes headlines not just for her music, but also for her pregnancy with G6reddot — a friend of Kodak Black — proving she’s keeping her hustle sharp even amidst major life changes.

“Gripper” takes the iconic original beat and supercharges it with a modern, bass-heavy twist. Lyrically, Flo Milli brings her signature sass, rapping in a soft-toned but rapid-fire delivery about being spoiled, dismissing the competition, and wanting her partner to “do something strange for free.” Meanwhile, T-Pain jumps in with a surprising flow of his own, detailing risqué bedroom scenarios while admitting he’s doing his best not to end up with more kids.

The highlight? That iconic “I’m In Love With A Stripper” chorus gets a direct interpolation, anchoring the track in nostalgia while pushing it into new territory. Both artists show off lightning-fast cadences that surprisingly mesh well — giving old heads and new fans something to talk about.

All in all, “Gripper” is a clever, explicit, and surprisingly effective reinterpretation of a strip club classic.
