Sexyy Red & Tiësto – OMG (Review)

Sexyy Red invades EDM with “OMG!”—and while the fit is wild, you have to respect her unshakable brand.

You have a better chance of changing a tiger’s stripes than changing Sexyy Red—and I absolutely love that about her. Whether she’s hopping on a pop track or dropping raw solo bangers, she never strays from her unapologetically ratchet persona. You have to respect that.

Today, Sexyy Red dropped what might be one of her most unexpected singles to date: “OMG!”—an EDM collaboration with none other than mega-producer Tiësto.

Should Sexyy Red be on this song? Hell no. But that’s what makes it interesting.

The track is built for bottle service and glow sticks—fist-pumping energy, a pulsing tempo, and a beat made for Vegas pool parties. Red tries to match the vibe with an EDM-style cadence, but her tone feels a little too laid-back, and her lyrics about being high, acting wild, and flexing her bad b*tch status don’t quite land over this kind of production.

Still, at the end of the day, the track is about having fun, and it genuinely sounds like Sexyy Red had a blast doing it. Whether or not it works for you may come down to how much chaos you’re willing to let into your dance playlist.

Sexyy Red has exceeded expectations by no less than three light years.
