Tyler, The Creator continues to impress the hell out of me.
Tyler, The Creator is once again proving that his creative instincts and cult-like fanbase make him one of the most formidable forces in music today. His surprise release DON’T TAP THE GLASS is projected to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 with a stunning 215,000 equivalent album units — and what’s even more impressive is that this number reflects less than four full days of tracking.
The project, which dropped unexpectedly, has been making waves across all major platforms, immediately dominating both streaming services and social media conversations. On Spotify alone, the album amassed over 41 million streams in its first partial day, placing Tyler in rare company even among today’s most streamed artists. His genre-defying blend of eccentric storytelling, sharp lyricism, and immersive production seems to have once again struck a chord.

DON’T TAP THE GLASS follows Tyler’s previous #1 albums, including IGOR and Call Me If You Get Lost, both of which showcased his fearless evolution as an artist. This latest release builds on that legacy, with chaotic, cinematic production and verses that feel both unfiltered and expertly constructed. The response from fans and critics has been overwhelmingly positive, with many hailing it as some of his most daring and conceptually rich work to date.
Debuting at the top of the Billboard 200 is no small feat — doing it with only a few days of data is even rarer. Tyler’s ability to mobilize his audience, deliver consistently challenging art, and still break commercial ceilings is proof that he’s operating in a league of his own.
