YoungBoy Never Broke Again’s “MASA” Set for Top 10 Billboard 200 Debut

How does NBA YoungBoy keep charting like this?

Though NBA YoungBoy has historically racked up most of his streams on YouTube, he’s no stranger to Billboard success. The Baton Rouge rapper is once again making noise on the charts, with his latest project, MASA (Make America Slime Again), projected to debut at #7 on the Billboard 200, moving over 50K units in its first week, according to HITS Daily Double.

What makes this even more impressive is the way YoungBoy does it—quietly, independently, and relentlessly. In an era where major labels carefully orchestrate rollouts with months of planning, hype cycles, teaser trailers, and social media activations, YoungBoy often just uploads his music and lets the fans do the rest. No viral challenges. No high-budget videos. Just raw, unfiltered drops—and the numbers to back it up.

This consistency is even more incredible when you factor in the chaos of his personal life. Despite frequent legal issues, extended jail stints, and a refusal to play by the industry’s rules, YoungBoy still charts with ease, often with projects he records solo and promotes minimally.

Whether or not MASA is your favorite YB project doesn’t matter. The fact that it’s doing numbers is proof of his unshakable fan base and the cultural weight he carries. And we have to say it plainly:
“Make America Slime Again” is one of the hardest album titles we’ve seen in years.
