Offset Announces New Album “KIARI,” Dropping August 22nd

“KIARI” drops August 22nd.

Offset is officially stepping into his next era with KIARI, his highly anticipated solo album dropping August 22nd. The project—named after his birth name, Kiari Kendrell Cephus—looks to be a deeply personal body of work, stacked with both unexpected collaborators and familiar hitmakers. Features include NBA YoungBoy, Gunna, Key Glock, YFN Lucci, John Legend, Teezo Touchdown, JID, and Ty Dolla Sign. Notably missing? Quavo.

This new chapter comes nearly two years after his last solo effort, Set It Off (2023), which found the Migos rapper carving out his own lane post-group era. While that project had moments of brilliance and radio-ready energy, it also felt like Offset was still discovering who he was without the Migos umbrella. With KIARI, there’s a sense that he’s more focused, more introspective, and ready to establish himself not just as a rapper, but as an artist with real range.

Outside the booth, Offset has also been navigating a very public breakup with Cardi B. The two have had a rollercoaster relationship since tying the knot in 2017, and while they’ve always kept the public guessing, recent months suggest the separation might be final. Fans are already speculating how much of KIARI will touch on that emotional fallout, especially with R&B names like Ty Dolla Sign and John Legend in the mix, who are known for crafting powerful, soulful ballads.

Offset’s always had star power, but KIARI feels like the moment where he either claims his solo crown or takes a backseat in the post-Migos landscape. With a tracklist that fuses trap, introspection, and boundary-pushing collaborations, August 22nd is looking like a big day for Atlanta—and for Offset.
