Drake Confronts “Culture Vulture” Label in Bobby Althoff Interview Sequel

Drake and Bobby Althoff return for a sequel to their viral 2023 interview, diving deeper into rumors, beefs, and the rapper’s legacy.

Drake and Bobby Althoff have finally released the highly anticipated sequel to their viral Really Good Podcast interview from 2023. Just like last time, the setup is quirky—both sitting in bed, with Drake still rocking the cornrows—but this round comes with heavier baggage. Between recent controversies, internet jabs, and his history of beefs with what feels like “200 people,” Drake had plenty to unpack.

The interview touches on lighter topics, including Drake’s rumored ab surgery and the type of women he’s into. But the most serious discussion revolved around one of the longest-running criticisms of his career: being a so-called “culture vulture.”

Drake acknowledged that the label genuinely bothers him. For him, the frustration comes from the disconnect between perception and reality. He pointed to the ways he’s contributed to the culture, particularly by giving exposure to artists early in their careers. Without naming names, he hinted at his pivotal early collaborations with Migos, A$AP Rocky, Kendrick Lamar, and many more who went on to dominate the industry.

While Drake’s legacy will always spark debate, his comments highlight an important truth: his influence has undeniably shaped hip-hop’s trajectory over the past decade. On this particular critique, it’s hard not to side with The Boy.
