Polo G Returns With “Quality Over Quantity”

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Is Polo G back? B*tch, he might be!

Honestly, Polo G needs his next project to land big —likely a deluxe version of his last, HOOD POET, which hasn’t exactly stuck in memory. Regardless, his comeback trail kicks off with “Quality Over Quantity.”

On this track, Polo G comes through with a subdued, almost numb energy. Over a melancholic trap beat that brightens in spots, he raps about ducking snakes in the grass, keeping a quick trigger finger, and building loyalty with his crew. The energy is low-key, reflective, and more introspective than hype-filled.

For listeners familiar with Polo G’s rise and street experiences, the track carries weight and authenticity. For others, it may feel a bit flat, lacking the bounce or hooks that make a song immediately enjoyable. At the end of the day, it is good to hear Capalot spit bars again.
