Tame Impala’s “Deadbeat” Debuts Strong at #4 on Billboard 200

This is a very impressive showing for Tame Impala.

Tame Impala’s Deadbeat will debut at #4 on the Billboard 200 with 72K units in its first week, including nearly 40K in pure album sales (via @HITSDD). This marks the group’s third top-five album, further cementing their place as one of modern rock’s most consistent acts.

Deadbeat features 12 tracks, including standouts like “My Old Ways,” “Dracula,” “Loser,” and “End Of Summer.” True to Tame Impala form, the album features no guest appearances—Kevin Parker once again handles everything solo, giving the project that signature dreamy, psychedelic, and introspective feel fans expect.

This release follows The Slow Rush (2020), which debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 with 110K units and 80K pure sales. That project featured fan favorites like “Borderline,” “Lost In Yesterday,” and “Is It True,” helping solidify Parker’s legacy as a one-man creative powerhouse.

While Deadbeat didn’t quite match The Slow Rush’s first-week numbers, it proves Tame Impala’s loyal fanbase remains as dedicated as ever. Stream Deadbeat now and see why Kevin Parker’s world of sound continues to captivate listeners everywhere.
