Bad Flamingo Tempt Us With “The Fruit”

Rating: 5 out of 5.

A sinfully good alternative gem that’ll leave you longing to give in to your darker impulses.

The uniquely mysterious musical duo known only as Bad Flamingo is a country-loving twosome that crafts captivating, alternative creations that deliver an experience unlike any other. When it comes to their work, these mask-wearing ladies prefer to keep their real-life identities concealed and are instead known as The One on the Left (vocals, guitar, bass, and banjo) and the One on the Right (vocals, banjo, autoharp, and tambourine).

Bad Flamingo’s heavily referenced Oscar Wilde quote states, “Give a man a mask, and he will tell you the truth.” Most recently, their music was featured in the Netflix series The Hunting Wives. Bad Flamingo’s latest drop is the alternative rock single “The Fruit” and its accompanying official music video

Dripping with the pair’s signature cinematic Old West vibes, “The Fruit” creates a wonderfully tempting backdrop featuring twangy tones, haunting harmonies, and seductive smoky vocals. Lyrics like “The side of the road wants a cigarette / All the winds gotta do is blow it / We dance like a flame dances on wood / Our nature never was good” immerse us in a hazy tale rich with symbolic imagery.

Fueled by its atmospheric storytelling style and vintage-inspired, moody visuals, Bad Flamingo gifts us with a sinfully good alternative gem that’ll leave you longing to give in to your darker impulses. So, press play and take a bite of “The Fruit.”
