TBA Turns Up The Heat With “nO STYLIST.”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

It’s amusing how artists without stylists often end up dressing the best.

I’ll be completely honest — TBA gives me shades of one of my all-time favorite artists: Kid Cudi. They have very similar rap voices. But where they differ is in sheer technical prowess. From a pure rap skills standpoint, TBA goes all the way in every time he spits; Cudi hasn’t quite done that since A Kid Named Cudi. Anywho, TBA’s latest release, “nO STYLIST.,” is a perfect example of why you should be high on him.

The track rides on a beat that feels split in two — one side hitting with heavy bass and trap energy, and the other layered with a tropical undertone that feels like a gritty island getaway. Over this dynamic production, TBA reflects on making money post-college, being anti-label, and celebrating independence. His delivery switches between aggressive, fast-paced flows and cool, confident cadences, with just enough melody to keep it catchy.

Overall, “nO STYLIST.” does it all — it motivates, it hypes you up, and it hits hard enough to test your speakers. Check out the track below.
