3. SAVE YOURSELF
Meek Mill is like 9-1 when it comes to album intros.
In “SAVE YOURSELF,” Meek Mill dives into gripping street narratives, reflecting on dodging legal trouble, growing up in the trenches, and squeezing the most out of the time he’s been given.
He also recounts stories of guys in his neighborhood who made the wrong moves and paid the price.
The track rides over a stripped-down instrumental that feels like it’s building toward something bigger—but never does. The upside? Meek doesn’t need the beat to evolve. He raps with relentless intensity, spitting with the urgency and hunger fans always appreciate from him.
2. HOW FAR WE CAME
Meek Mill legit sounds healthy on this track. Like a dude who has found peace.
“HOW FAR WE CAME” features a soulful instrumental that starts out stripped-down but eventually morphs into something slight that has enough of a knock to make an impact.
Meek Mill once again puts his head down and raps, bringing up the actions he’s done that make him a real one, ducking rumors, his drug-dealing past, and never crossing his guys.
He also brags about all the wins he’s been able to incur, mainly because of the lessons he’s learned.
Though you get your usual loud and bold Meek, there’s something about his delivery that sounds a little more loose this time around.
1. 4TH OF JULY
Have you ever been to Philly or Chicago on the 4th of July? S**t is scary as f**k!
When Fridayy and Meek Mill link up, you already know you’re in for something serious, and “4TH OF JULY” delivers exactly that.
Built on a dramatic, piano-driven instrumental, the track finds Fridayy reflecting on friends who were taken too soon and the hollow feeling that comes with receiving such a call. He also touches on the changes he sees coming for his city. As expected, his vocals are powerful and overflowing with raw emotion.
Meek Mill follows with an explosive, deeply emotional verse, speaking on the violence that plagues his city while sounding grateful he’s no longer in the middle of it. I love the pure intensity he brings here and how he finds a way to leap off the beat’s backdrop. It’s definitely an intriguing listen.

Meek Mill returns with Indie Pack (Vol. 01), a tight four-track burst of raw energy that reminds listeners exactly why he became one of hip-hop’s most trusted voices for authenticity.
There’s no fluff here, no experiments for the sake of artistry — just Meek doing what he does best: spitting hungry, chest-thumping bars over emotional, urgent production.
From the moment the EP kicks off, Meek delivers with that unmistakable intensity — the gritted teeth delivery, the relentless flows, the passion he squeezes into every bar. His voice alone feels like it could blow the hinges off a studio door. That signature animation is fully intact, giving each verse the fire and emotional weight fans crave from him.
Lyrically, Meek stays locked into the themes that have defined his career: the distance between who he was and who he’s become, the pressure of staying loyal to street codes, the paranoia and motivation that come with success, the rewards he’s earned, the snakes he’s dodged, the camaraderie with people who share his battle scars, and yes, the unholy activities he brags about with the women in his orbit.
As much as Meek has leveled up in life, it’s almost shocking how naturally he still taps into the mindset of someone who clawed his way out of trauma and chaos.
But with all that said, this EP doesn’t fully push Meek into his next evolution as an artist. He sounds sharp, aggressive, and focused — but not necessarily new.
The songs also lack traditional structure, which gives the project a disorganized feel at times, as if the tracks are more like intense freestyles than polished records.
Still, Indie Pack (Vol. 01) proves one thing loud and clear: Meek’s hunger hasn’t gone anywhere. Even when the execution isn’t perfect, the heart, pain, and passion he puts into his music remain undeniable.
Fans looking for that classic, no-nonsense Meek Mill energy will feel right at home.
