Polo G Returns with Deep New Single “High Tolerance”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Polo G is really starting to sound like his old self.

Polo G is on a mission to prove he’s still at the top of the rap game. As anticipation builds for the deluxe version of his HOOD POET project that dropped in 2024, he’s been steadily releasing singles like “Quality Over Quantity” and “Chinatown Pt. 2.” Now, he returns with “High Tolerance,” a track that stays true to his signature style.

The single features an emotional trap beat complete with lonely guitar strings, heavy bass, and a perfectly paced tempo. Over this production, Polo G delivers his melodic, borderline melancholic flow, portraying a gritty street life shaped by loyalty, retaliation, and survival. As expected, every word he delivers comes across as real as hell, making for what I believe is an authentic listen.

“High Tolerance” sits comfortably within Polo G’s repertoire while highlighting his growth as an artist, and it’s a promising sign for what fans can expect from the deluxe HOOD POET project.
