Logic shakes off a strange run of releases and locks in with Wiz Khalifa for one of his strongest singles of the year.
Logic has been on a wild creative ride lately. After dropping his well-received film Paradise Records—which, to this day, feels impossible to locate on any streaming service—he followed it with a run of Sidequest loosies that sounded like Playboi Carti’s cash-strapped cousin wandered into the studio. Not exactly a stretch of singles built for replay value.
But today, Logic snaps back into form with “700 CLUB,” a record that screams focus and polish. Powered by a tough, thumping beat loaded with southern bounce, crisp tempo, and some slick, swirling synths, the track gives Logic exactly the kind of sonic runway he thrives on. He uses it to deliver one of his more engaging vocal performances in months, flexing about wealth and luxury while also shrugging off their importance. The chorus, in particular, is a standout—sticky, slightly vulnerable, and smooth.
Wiz Khalifa pulls up with matching energy, delivering a gritty verse that blends threats, flexes, and his signature weed-smoked cool. His aggression pairs surprisingly well with Logic’s introspective swagger, giving the track a dynamic push that makes it impossible to skip.
“700 CLUB” is easily Logic’s strongest single of the year—which says a lot, considering how many tracks he’s unleashed.
