Taylor Swift Tops Billboard 200 Year-End 2025 With “The Life of a Showgirl”

Swift claims another historic milestone as 2025’s biggest album.

Taylor Swift continues her reign as one of the most dominant artists in modern music, earning the #1 spot on the Billboard 200 Year-End 2025 chart with The Life of a Showgirl. This marks her second consecutive Year-End #1 album, following her 2024 chart-topper The Tortured Poets Department.

With this latest achievement, Swift now holds five Year-End #1 albums—a staggering milestone matched by very few in chart history. Her previous winners include Fearless (2009), 1989 (2015), reputation (2018), and TTPD (2024). The Life of a Showgirl only further solidifies her status as a generational chart force.

The rest of the 2025 Year-End Top 10 is stacked with major successes across genres. Morgan Wallen lands at #2 with I’m the Problem, continuing his consistent commercial dominance. SZA’s SOS, which has spent every year since its release inside the top 10, ranks at #3—an extremely rare feat for an R&B album.

At #4, Kendrick Lamar’s GNX stands as the highest-ranking hip-hop album of the year, reaffirming his influence and longevity. Sabrina Carpenter claims the #5 spot with Short n’ Sweet, her first-ever appearance in the Year-End top 10 and a defining milestone in her fast-rising pop career. Bad Bunny’s DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS lands at #8, extending his streak of year-end chart dominance.

Notably, several major albums make notable returns or debuts in the Year-End Top 10. Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department lands at #6 after topping last year’s list, while Wallen’s One Thing at a Time sits at #7 after ruling 2023. Billie Eilish’s HIT ME HARD AND SOFT (at #9) and Chappell Roan’s The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess (at #10) both break into the top tier for the first time.
