Eleven straight years on top proves that Drake’s catalog might be the real MVP.
Drake has once again finished the year as the most-streamed rapper on Spotify, pulling in a staggering 18.4 billion streams across all credits in 2025. That marks his 11th consecutive year holding the title, which at this point feels less like a statistic and more like a permanent state of reality. No matter how the landscape shifts, Drake somehow stays parked at the center of it.
What makes this run especially wild is that he didn’t even release a proper solo album this year. Instead, his lone major drop came in the form of a joint project with PARTYNEXTDOOR, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U. That release still produced a massive hit in “NOKIA,” which has already cleared 500 million streams in 2025 alone. Even on a “light” year, Drake manages to generate numbers most artists would dream of.
The real engine behind this milestone, though, is his catalog. Songs like “One Dance” and “Passionfruit” continue to rack up streams at an absurd rate, while Take Care quietly enjoyed a resurgence, with tracks like “Headlines” finding new life across playlists and social media.
With ICEMAN on the horizon, it’s hard not to think 2026 might be another victory lap.
