Billboard 200 This Week: Taylor Swift Holds #1, SZA Makes History, and Catalog Albums Dominate

Legacy releases, long chart runs, and streaming endurance define the current Billboard 200 landscape.

This week’s Billboard 200 paints a clear picture of where the music industry currently stands: longevity beats novelty. According to chart data, Taylor Swift remains firmly planted at #1 with The Life of a Showgirl, pulling in 81,000 units and marking her 12th consecutive week at the top. More impressively, this extends her record as the solo artist with the most cumulative weeks at #1 on the Billboard 200, now sitting at 98 total weeks.

Right behind her, albums with serious staying power continue to thrive. Morgan Wallen places I’m The Problem at #2 and One Thing At a Time at #9, both still pulling strong numbers despite being far from new releases. This trend reinforces a growing reality in the streaming era: listeners are spending more time with albums they already love instead of constantly chasing the next drop.

One of the most notable moments on the chart belongs to SZA. Her album SOS ranks at #7 this week and has now charted on the Billboard 200 Top 10 across five calendar years — 2022 through 2026. That’s an extremely rare feat and a testament to how deeply the album has embedded itself into listener habits.
