NBA YoungBoy dropped three songs in two days and somehow “SWITCHES” still said “nah, THIS is the hardest one.”
We’ve been hit with an overload of NBA YoungBoy music over the past two days, and honestly, it’s been a solid showcase of his versatility. On “Creep Up On Ya,” he sounded as unhinged as you’ll ever hear a human being, while “Baby Boo” leaned into a much smoother, melodic lane. Now, with “SWITCHES,” he meets somewhere in the middle, sounding a bit more grounded but still aggressive.
The track is driven by a hard-hitting beat that channels vintage Jeezy energy, loaded with heavy bass and militant undertones. YoungBoy attacks it with an unorthodox flow that can feel chaotic at times, but when it locks in, it really hits. His delivery is raw and unchained, pairing naturally with lyrics centered on street dominance, luxury whips, and stacking serious money.
While some of the flow choices are undeniably outlandish, they also give the record its personality. Out of the three recent drops, “SWITCHES” feels like the most complete and effective, striking the best balance between intensity and listenability.
