I think the streets wanted Gucci Mane to crash out just a little more…
Gucci Mane was in the news last week for one of the wildest stories you’ll hear today. It was reported that his former artist (Actually, I’m not sure if he’s his former artist yet), Pooh Shiesty, lured him to a studio and stuck him up, demanding that he sign contract release papers. In the process, Gucci was also stripped of some expensive jewelry. Well, with “CRASH DUMMY,” the Atlanta legend tells his side of the story, and there’s not really much he adds.
“CRASH DUMMY” is powered by classic Zaytoven production, complete with sharp piano keys, rolling trap percussion, and a heightened sense of urgency that gives the record its edge. The beat feels riveting as hell, almost like a chase scene unfolding in real time. Gucci Mane rides it (pause) with his trademark steadiness, never rushing, never overextending, just gliding across the instrumental with controlled precision.
Lyrically, the track dives into the fallout involving Pooh Shiesty and Big30, with Gucci recounting the day the duo stuck him up. Rather than leaning purely into emotion, he frames the situation through a business-first lens, reinforcing his stance as someone focused on structure, loyalty, and control within the industry.
Though I thought the track was pretty solid, I can see how someone might want a little more anger from him.

Quincy is the creator of Ratings Game Music. He loves writing about music, taking long walks on beaches, and spaghetti that fights him back.
