JT Fires Back With Confidence On “Numb”

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

JT turns pressure into power on “Numb.”

JT lowkey pulls some impressive streaming numbers. For instance, her previous track, “Girls Gone Wild,” is approaching 10 million streams. Be honest, you probably did not know that. The real issue with JT is that she does not release enough music. Anyhow, her newest single, “Numb,” shows a sharper and more controlled side of her game.

“Numb” has the kind of action-packed, pressing production meant to go toe-to-toe with club speakers. The beat knocks with force, but it also carries a slightly low-quality texture that gives it a vintage vibe.

Lyrically, JT raps with her signature carefree and unapologetic style. She talks about still having her trap jumping, cutting off fake chicks, and stiff-arming haters who want to see her stumble. What makes the track hit harder is how confidently she attacks it. I feel like her intent was to throw all kinds of combos at the s**t.

All in all, I like the trash talk, the vintage southern feel, and the hella confidence.
