After 22 years, Stevie Wonder finally remembered he had some more magic to share.
Stevie Wonder is bringing fans back into his musical world with Through The Eyes Of Wonder, his first album announcement in 22 years. The legendary singer, songwriter, and musician revealed that the highly anticipated project will arrive in 2027… Probably before we get another Rihanna album.
One of the biggest details surrounding the album is that it will include four tracks from the Songs In The Key Of Life era. That period represents one of the highest points of Stevie Wonder’s career, producing unforgettable songs like “Sir Duke,” “I Wish,” and “Isn’t She Lovely.” Back then, it was incredibly difficult to thrive on the Billboard charts, especially as a Black artist, yet that album still produced multiple major hits and cemented Stevie’s place in music history.
You know what I wonder? What direction Stevie Wonder will take with this project. Will he fully embrace the timeless sound that fans have loved for decades, or will he modernize his approach and bring in unexpected collaborators like Yeat and Ken Carson (I hope not)? Either way, I expect social media to say it’s nothing like his old s**t (good old social media).
