Yung Miami Slides Back Into the Club Lane With “Spend Dat”

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

City Girls love themselves some scammers.

Yung Miami has never really strayed far from the club circuit, and with “Spend Dat,” she plants herself right back in that lane. Fresh off her appearance on DaBaby’s “POP DAT THANG” remix, she keeps the momentum going with a track that highlights scammers and weasels.

“Spend Dat” runs on a smooth, playa-style instrumental that feels pretty damn laid-back. In particular, there are subtle guitar licks, soft piano chords, and a bounce in the percussion that gives it a slow-burn groove.

Lyrically, Miami talks about dealing with sheisty-ass scammers who are willing to spend whatever money they’ve made, legally or illegally, on her, while also bigging up women who move the same way. The verses carry her usual unapologetic energy, but the hook is where things get interesting. It’s catchy, slightly nasal, and not exactly polished, yet it sticks.

Dudes who rock Kango hats are going to love this track.
