I keep trying to tell y’all Kodak is a legend.
Kodak Black’s catalog continues to age exceptionally well. The rapper recently received a massive collection of new and updated RIAA certifications, adding even more platinum plaques to a career already filled with commercial success.
Leading the way are “Roll in Peace” featuring XXXTENTACION, “Tunnel Vision,” “No Flockin’,” and “ZEZE” featuring Travis Scott and Offset, all of which have now earned 9× Platinum certifications. Elsewhere, “Super Gremlin” and “Transportin’” climbed to 6× Platinum, while “Calling My Spirit” officially reached 5× Platinum.
Each certification tells part of Kodak’s story. “No Flockin’” introduced his unmistakable style to a wider audience, “Tunnel Vision” became a breakout hit, and “Super Gremlin” reminded everyone of his ability to dominate modern rap years into his career. His collaborations have also remained incredibly successful, particularly “ZEZE” and “Roll in Peace.”
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: when Kodak Black isn’t loopy, he’s one of the most naturally gifted rappers in the game, regardless of era. He has an innate ability to craft verses that are both memorable and captivating. While he may not be operating at the same level he once was, it’s great to see his older work continuing to receive the recognition and appreciation it deserves.
