Dennis Linggar somehow made heartbreak sound peaceful and spiritually healing on “Siren Song.”
Dennis Linggar’s background naturally explains why his music feels so emotionally grounded. Born in Jakarta and now based in Los Angeles, Dennis grew up balancing gospel influences from church with R&B music he loved at home. Those two worlds clearly shaped the way he approaches songwriting today.
That approach comes through strongly on “Siren Song.” Driven by a nice knock, old-school R&B flavor, and a soothing atmosphere, the track instantly feels smoother than perfectly cooked mashed potatoes. Dennis matches the instrumental with a dynamic vocal performance that occasionally feels like it’s floating directly through the production itself. While some moments feel airy and relaxed, there are also soulful and hypnotic pockets that stand out immediately.
Lyrically, “Siren Song” separates itself from standard heartbreak records by framing failed relationships through faith. Instead of treating heartbreak strictly as loss, Dennis presents it as God steering him away from the wrong person. Honestly, that is some deep s**t.
All in all, “Siren Song” is one of those tracks that has depth, a timeless feel, and awesome vocals.
