“My Wings” blends dreamy R&B textures with reflective songwriting beautifully.
If I had to guess, E. Lundquist is the kind of artist who doesn’t just hear music but fully visualizes it. There’s something deeply intentional and organic about the soundscapes he creates. His music tends to pull you directly into its atmosphere and keep you there from start to finish. Recently, E. Lundquist teamed up with India Blue from the London-based band Azamiah for a new single called “My Wings,” and the result is one of the more refreshing releases out right now.
“My Wings” is built around a funk-inspired R&B instrumental with a laid-back tempo, warm grooves, and piano melodies that quietly steal the show. India Blue handles the vocals beautifully, delivering a high-toned performance that feels loose, emotional, hypnotic, and incredibly freeing. Lyrically, the song centers around escaping dark thoughts and refusing to stay emotionally grounded for too long. Instead, it pushes toward freedom, optimism, emotional elevation, and self-preservation. Altogether, the track lands as moody, soulful, smooth, and incredibly immersive from beginning to end.
