Damn, is this Kanye West’s first microwave album?
Ye’s BULLY has officially exited the Billboard 200 after spending seven weeks on the chart. With that, the project becomes the shortest-charting solo studio album of his career.
Released earlier this year, BULLY arrived during a major stretch for comeback albums across hip-hop. For Ye, the album, which sold 152,000 in its first week, represented his first major solo release since DONDA (DONDA 2 had a weird rollout, so I don’t count it). The project also arrived following months of crazy-ass Tweets, apologies, and strange public appearances from Ye.
Despite the outside noise, BULLY still received strong support from Ye’s core fanbase. Songs like “ALL THE LOVE” and “FATHER” helped generate momentum early in the album’s run, while many listeners praised the production and the more focused musical direction throughout the project. Compared to some of his recent releases, the album sounded more grounded sonically and structurally.
Is BULLY still in your rotation?
