BKTHERULA is the s**t.
BKTHERULA has always been one of those artists who refuse to stay inside one lane (Which is why I love her), and “I Go Punk” with Whethan is another example of that. The track blends EDM, punk, rock, and rap influences into one chaotic package that somehow holds together from beginning to end.
Backed by buzzing synths, booming bass, and festival-ready vibes, BKTHERULA sounds completely at home. She switches between creepy vocal deliveries, melodic moments, and aggressive bars without ever sounding uncomfortable. Lyrically, she spends much of the song taking shots at her rivals while embracing a rebellious, carefree attitude that fits the title perfectly.
I absolutely love the moments where the hook locks into a catchy groove, the unpredictability, and the exorcism-like performance BK gives us here. I think I just love listening to wahala like this overall.
