Future Returns With “Radio”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Future is in his bag here.

Future is officially back in rollout mode. On July 10th, shortly after America’s 250th birthday celebrations, he will drop his new album The Real Me. This follows a major year that included reconnecting with Drake on “Ran To Atlanta” and performing at the World Cup opening ceremony. To kick things off, he released the single “Radio.”

What stands out most is how comfortable Future sounds in this lane. I always enjoy when he mixes emotional, melodic delivery with a cool, almost numb energy, and that’s the exact balance he hits here.

“Radio” is built on smooth, atmospheric trap production that lets him float effortlessly. He raps about staying ahead of the competition, plowing through chicks, and cutting off fake energy. His flow barely shifts, but it works in his favor. The hook could’ve been stronger, but the record still lands well. While I wish the hook came in a few more times, the track still comes together as an excellent listen.
