NBA YoungBoy Takes Shots at Future With New Diss Track “What Da What?”

Rating: 2 out of 5.

Does anyone know what Future did to NBA YoungBoy?

NBA YoungBoy has never been shy about speaking his mind, and now he’s making his feelings toward Future very clear on his new track “What Da What?” The song arrives after a public rant by YoungBoy, in which he took several shots at the Atlanta superstar, turning what appeared to be a personal issue into a full-blown rap conflict.

The exact reason behind their tension remains unclear, and so far, the situation seems to be mostly coming from YoungBoy’s side. However, instead of keeping things private, YoungBoy decided to address the situation through music, delivering a direct diss track that leaves little room for interpretation.

“What Da What?” features the rabid energy fans have come to expect from YoungBoy. His delivery is unhinged, emotional, and filled with the frustration that fuels many of his strongest records. Based on his vocals alone, I recommend keeping your volume on the low side because he sounds like he’s trying to shake the speakers apart.

As for the production, it features heavy bass and an almost Western standoff-type atmosphere, creating the feeling that two gunslingers are about to meet at high noon. I’m sure even the beat was looking over its shoulder.

Interestingly enough, in almost every rap conflict Future has been involved in, he rarely seems to respond directly. At this point, it’s almost becoming a pattern. The man must have a punchable face (I have one of those).
