Nemzzz Recruits Travis Scott for Explosive New Track “GASS”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

A transatlantic rap collision where Nemzzz and Travis Scott sound completely at home in the darkness.

It looks like Nemzzz is officially next up in UK rap. Today, he released his new album, LOCKED IN. While listeners will surely find plenty to enjoy across the project, one song people will immediately rush toward is his Travis Scott collaboration, “GASS.”

Wallahi, “GASS” features one of the hardest beats I’ve heard all year. It knocks with serious force, carries a dark and menacing atmosphere, and even shifts into a moment during Travis’ verse that sounds reminiscent of “FE!N.” The production alone gives the track enough energy to shake a room, but Nemzzz and Travis make sure they aren’t overshadowed by it.

Both artists tap into their lyrical-miracle modes, firing off punchlines, bringing plenty of aggression, and layering their distinctive flows over the beat with ease. Nemzzz sounds completely comfortable beside one of rap’s biggest stars, while Travis slides into the track without disrupting its UK edge. Their chemistry makes the collaboration work from beginning to end.

The only real problem is that “GASS” runs for less than two minutes. Just as the track reaches full speed, it ends. It’s frustrating, but that replay button exists for a reason.
