A silky slow jam about giving someone time to heal while keeping the romantic connection alive.
If you’re going to call yourself “The Prince of the 6ix,” you had better come with it. Thankfully, iRAV usually does. What I appreciate about him is his versatility. If you need something tough, he can deliver it. If you want something smooth enough to change a room’s temperature, he has that covered, too. On his latest single, “IN THE MEANTIME,” iRAV steps into the latter bag.
The track is powered by silky R&B production with a late-night glow, giving iRAV room to unleash smooth vocals and intoxicating melodies. Lyrically, he speaks to someone who needs time to heal, grow, and rediscover herself. Rather than forcing the connection or demanding answers, he chooses patience, continuing to care for her from a respectful distance.
That mature approach makes “IN THE MEANTIME” feel both romantic and grounded. It could spice things up in the bedroom or help deepen a connection with somebody you met while slow jams were playing on the dance floor. Either way, the record has several uses.
More importantly, it proves iRAV can make restraint sound seductive. The Prince of the 6ix delivers something polished, patient, and dangerously smooth.
