Snoh Aalegra Begins Her Comeback With “Run Free”

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Let me go ahead and put down my down payment on this new Snoh Aalegra album.

Can you believe it has been five years since Snoh Aalegra released an album? Hell, five years ago, my hemorrhoids were contained. Life comes at you fast.

Anywho, Snoh is preparing to return with a new single called “Run Free,” which will appear on her upcoming album, A Legendary Love. She recently previewed the track on social media, giving fans their first taste of the project and reminding everyone why her absence has felt so damn long.

Technically, Snoh has released music since her 2021 album, Temporary Highs in the Violet Skies. She dropped “Be My Summer,” “Sweet Tea,” and “Wait a Little Longer” in 2023. However, it has still been five years since she delivered a full-length project.

Based on the teaser, “Run Free” appears ready to make the wait worthwhile. Snoh delivers beautiful, passionate vocals over gorgeous production filled with shimmering synths and vintage ’80s pop influences. The lyrical content also sounds designed to seep into your soul like an aggressive virus—which is basically what we want from her music.

The accompanying visual looks just as polished. Snoh cruises around in a fire BMW while serving the kind of effortless elegance that has always matched her music.

No official release date for “Run Free” or A Legendary Love has been announced yet. Still, the teaser confirms one important thing: Snoh Aalegra is back, y’all.
