A$AP Rocky Announces “Mushroom Clouds” for Friday Ahead of DON’T BE DUMB (Disc 2)

A$AP Rocky’s “Mushroom Clouds” opens a new chapter featuring revised favorites and previously unheard material.

Rocky fans who have been waiting for “Mushroom Clouds” can finally circle a date.

A$AP Rocky is set to release the track Friday, October 16, kicking off DON’T BE DUMB (Disc 2). We previously heard the soulful, hazy record during an Amazon Music performance, and now it’s getting a proper release.

There’s more coming behind it, too. During a recent interview, Rocky named “Babushka Boi,” “Sundress,” “Grim Freestyle,” “Highjack,” and “Trunks” as tracks headed for the second disc. If you’re wondering why familiar titles are showing up, he says there will be changes.

“It’s all going to live on this too with like new revisions to it, new verses and a couple of new singles that people probably never heard,” he said.

The original DON’T BE DUMB dropped January 16, 2026, and entered the Billboard 200 at No. 1. Commercially, that was a strong return. Creatively, though, not everyone felt the album gave them everything they wanted from Rocky.

That makes the approach to Disc 2 interesting. Revisiting older records while adding new verses and unreleased songs could give the project a different personality. It also gives longtime listeners another chance to hear the Rocky they’ve been asking for.

We’ll see how it all comes together. First, “Mushroom Clouds” arrives Friday, giving fans an actual song to play instead of another reason to refresh their feeds.
