I absolutely didn’t need this track in 2026.
You had to be there when DaBaby and Fetty Wap were poppin’. DaBaby was walking around in that big diaper and dropping “Babysitter,” while Fetty had everybody singing “Trap Queen.” Now, several years past the runs that made them unavoidable, DJ SpinKing has brought them together for “Beat Go.”
The track features heart-pumping, bass-heavy production that will make a club feel like a sumo-wrestling match is about to break out. The whole thing sounds like the type of backdrop DaBaby has been killing for years. As expected, he sets the tone with elementary flows, catchy moments, and absolutely reckless bars. He sounds comfortable, but comfort doesn’t necessarily mean I’m hearing anything that makes me want to run his verse back.
Fetty Wap follows by bringing out his rap side instead of the singing I was hoping for. Interestingly, I prefer his verse to DaBaby’s, even though I kept waiting for a melody to sneak in. But frfr, I’m not rocking with either verse all that much.
Respectfully, yawn.
