Logic & Rag-N-Bone – Broken People (Review & Stream)

Logic is killin’ these soundtrack singles lately! This one is for Will Smith’s new ‘Bright’ movie.

You know what’s funny? This song sounds a lot like a remix to the Logic featured single, ‘Sucker For Love’, off of the Suicide Squad soundtrack. It has the same dark instrumental, with Logic rapping/singing about triumphing through adversity. As usual, this is a lyrical exercise for the DMV rapper, as he pieces his words together like a pro.

I’m assuming Rag-N-Bone are the struggle singers on the hook; if so, they did a great job of making the song feel like authentic slavery. (‘Bright’ is a slave movie, right?)
