Trippie Redd’s “NDA” Projected to Debut at No. 46 With 16.9K Units

Trippie Redd’s latest project has plenty of star power but is projected to debut much smaller than his previous release.

Trippie Redd’s latest project, NDA, is projected to debut at No. 46 on the Billboard 200 with 16.9K equivalent album units in its opening week. That’s a noticeable drop from some of the numbers Trippie was putting up during his commercial peak.

NDA is a 25-track monster featuring a guest list that looks like someone emptied the entire industry group chat. Young Thug, Rema, YNW Melly, PARTYNEXTDOOR, BigXthaPlug, Tory Lanez, Sexyy Red, Nine Vicious, Lil Wayne, Rob49, Quavo, Kodak Black, and several others all appear throughout the project.

For comparison, A Love Letter To You 5 debuted with 37,000 units in its first week. While that album didn’t produce any major hits, it still had some recognizable guest appearances helping give it attention. NDA moving 16.9K means Trippie is currently operating in a very different commercial space.

Still, I think Trippie Redd is in an interesting position. He clearly isn’t doing the numbers he was doing around the A Love Letter To You 3 era, but that doesn’t mean the talent disappeared. If anything, there seemed to be more excitement around NDA than some of his recent releases, and that’s important.

Now he has another album coming this month, giving him another opportunity to turn that interest into momentum. The numbers may be disappointing, but there’s still a path forward.
