Nowadays, the ins and outs of relationships are accurately described in EDM music more than any other genre. Something about the seesaw of emotions artists show in those type of records seems so real to me. In “Light Me Up,”a song I see as EDM gold, R.L. Grime, Julia Michaels and Miguel put together something explosive that perfectly describes the feeling an individual gets when they know that their better half is doing everything they can to make them feel loved. Listeners, you will love how everyone involved takes you on an emotional roller coaster ride on their verses, and how the song changes energy-levels so dramatically throughout. I swear, I shivered after listening to this track.
