I’ll say it right now: there’s absolutely nothing wrong with flying commercial. Millions of people do it every day. It’s practical, affordable, and usually gets the job done. Still, when you’re Rick Ross, people tend to look at things a little differently.

A Drake fan recently shared footage that appears to show Ross waiting for a commercial flight alongside a terminal full of everyday travelers. Under normal circumstances, nobody would think twice about it. However, Ross isn’t exactly known for presenting himself as an average guy.

For years, the Miami rapper has built his brand around luxury. From private jets and exotic cars to sprawling estates and endless boss talk, Ross has made larger-than-life living a central part of his public image. That’s why some fans were surprised to see him in such a relatable setting.

That said, there are plenty of reasonable explanations. Maybe he needed to get somewhere quickly. Maybe flying commercial was the most convenient option available. Or maybe he simply didn’t care how it looked.

Personally, I don’t see a problem with it.

Still, perception matters, especially in rap. And considering Drake and Ross have spent the last year trading shots, this viral moment will almost certainly provide more fuel for fans looking to clown one side or the other.
