Monica is in her 25th year in the game, folks!
Monica is looking to release Chapter 38 really soon, her 9th studio album. “Commitment” is the first single off of it, and I think it’s an appropriate one, mainly because it talks about both growth and the importance of knowing what you deserve/should want out of a relationship.
The instrumental to “Commitment” relies on heavy guitar-play and some serious bass. Over this instrumental, Monica spills her guts out, singing about consistency and determination when it comes to love. Personally, I enjoy the passion the 38 year old singer gives us from start to finish here, and how she holds nothing back when it comes to her feelings.
I feel like Monica’s been 38 years old for 20 years.
