take1 Puts On A Show In “On Ya Mark”

ON YA MARK

OVERALL RATING (???)

take1 has bars for days.

take1 is both a football player and a rapper. That means if he isn’t tearing a Quarterback’s head off in an Eskimos game, then he’s probably tearing up mics in a studio somewhere in Edmonton. With that being said, in “On Ya Mark,” take1 shines by being his normal tenacious self.

First and foremost, the instrumental that powers “On Ya Mark” is fire! It reminds me of some s**t you would hear at a speakeasy. As for take1, from the moment you press play on the song, he shines. Not only does he spit some cocky/confident/real-ass bars throughout, but he also hits us with clever punchlines and tongue-twisting flows. All in all, “On Ya Mark” is a treat for rap junkies worldwide.
